What's New in the Release 2.8
DTMF Configuration and Voice Playback
Allows user to configure V-Server via DTMF tone and V-Server also reads (playback) configuration value to user through phone set directly attached to the V-Server or through PSTN.
Configuration Backward Compatible
From this version, the configuration data structure of the V-Server firmware is changed so that the configuration data from the previous version will not be lost after updating the firmware. But users will be able to benefit from this feature only when they update the firmware from Release 2.8 to a higher version. For example, when we release 3.0, users who download 3.0 software will keep the configuration data from Release 2.8.
CDR Reporting
Supports CDR (Call Detail Record) reporting. V-Server will report CDR to a CDR server after a call finished. CDR includes originating and destination information, call durations and call types. CDR is accessible from the DDA web Interface.
Software Live Update
In this version, the DDA will automatically start a firmware download from a download server for a unit that has a older version of firmware. This process will be running on the background and will not affect the performance of V-Server. It is up to the user to determine whether to activate the new firmware.
Host Exposure
To allow a device behind the NAT controller (V-Server) to use the official IP.
Access Control
An improved firewall feature for V-Server. User can set access control using IP address, netmask and port number.
System Time Client
V-Server will retrieve system date/time from DDA and thus all the units registered to the DDA will be synchronized.
More Privacy
In this version, user has the option to hide their unit from being displayed on other unit's phonebook. This option is provided through the DDA user profile configuration. Also, in this version, only units belong to the same group will be displayed on the user's phonebook through V-Express, not all the units registered to the DDA. User's IP address will not be displayed on the V-Express phone book any more.
