What's New in the Release 3.2.2
This release has the following new features and enhancement over the release
3.0.7:
Configuration Script
Now the V-Server can be configured by an initial configuration script that will run each time when the V-Server restarts.
<Details>
T.38 fax interoperability with Cisco and AudioCode
<Details>
Speed Dial Feature
Now up to ten speed dial numbers can be configured for the H.323 calls.
<Details>
Dial Pulse Phone Support
Now user can use a pulse mode phone to make calls from the V-Server FXS port.
No special configuration.
Call Diversion Feature
Now a phone number can be pre-configured for the V-Server, so that all the H.323 gatekeeper calls to that unit can be re-directed to that number.
Alternative Gatekeeper Support
Now the V-Server can accept a list of alternative gatekeeper addresses from the primary gatekeeper.
This list is sent from the primary GK to the V-SERVER directly, so configuration
is not required.
V-Server Software Option
Now the V-Server has the option to disable of enable the following feature --- In-box DDA, Wakeup Server, ATPM Mode 2.
Default settings for these options are all "disabled". You will need
to purchase software keys to enable these options.
V-Server Command History
Now the command line interface supports up to ten lines of command history.
Use the "Up" and "down" arrow keys to access the command
line history, like Unix Shell.
Other H323 Protocol enhancements: H323 V3 Support
- Merge with Radvision Release 3.0.9, which supports the H323 V3, and T.38 Fax.
- ARQ with canMapAlias Enable
- Support Progress Indicator Message
- Support Signal Method --- Support out of band DTMF signal in UserInput Signal message.
- Support RingBack Tone Process for OKI --- Provide local RingBack Tone In H323 FastStart mode as specific In ITU 11/2000 8.1.7.4.
In-Box DDA enhancement:
Now only a proper software key can enable the in-box DDA option; In-box DDA is enhanced to support a secondary in-box DDA.
Auto-detection of the Phone Port Hardware Configuraiton (4-port units only)
From this version on, the 4-port iPRO unit phone port FXS and FXO settings
will be automatically detected and configured according to the hardware. User
can't change the settings using any configuration tool (the tools will allow you
to change and enter the commands, but they don't really change the settings).
Known Problems in the Release 3.2.2
Following problems exist in the release 3.2.2:
- If the G.723-6.3K codec is not present in the phone port "Allowed codec"
list, the G.723 -5.3K codec and the G.729 codec DDA calls will not work.
- One-step FXO calls can't be made out of a V-Server when the unit is activated by "wake-up".
- V-SERVER iPRO (4-port units) FXO T.38 fax may have problems in some countries and region.
- Can't disable a specific FXO port. This may bring
problems to iPRO units with FXO ports, since the unit itself is not able to
detect whether a working phone line is connected to the FXO port and an
incoming call maybe routed to an FXO port that doesn't have a PSTN line
connected. To solve this problem, user should always keep all the FXO ports
connected to PSTN lines all the time. We will provide an option for
disabling a specific port in the next release.
- G.723 codec H.323 fast start calls between Cisco will NOT work unless the VAD is set to "off"
